Yacht description

Following a collaboration on a highly successful offshore racing yacht NMD43 “Albator”, Nivelt Muratet Design and Oceantec have joined forces again to provide the ocean-going IRC racing yacht with true planing potential.

The TQ35 is  designed for fast, predominantely offshore IRC racing – shorthanded or fully crewed.

The TQ35 incorporates a powerful, highly refined hull form, a practical living space, rugged hightech composite structure, and simple, reliable systems.

Construction

  • 5-axis CNC machined hull and deck tooling.
  • Vinylester infused SAN foam core sandwich and E-glass reinforcements.
  • Bulkheads and inner structure vinylester infused SAN foam core sandwich with unidirectional reinforcements.
  • White gel coat finish outside, 2-part PU paint sprayed inside.
  • Flush mounted seacocks.

Keel

  • 1,95 draft T-keel.
  • Cast SG iron fin.
  • Antimonial lead bulb.
  • Keel assembly faired to a racing finish.

Rudder and steering:

  • Twin spade rudders with E-glass foam sandwich blades and stainless steel stocks.
  • Self aligning rudder bearings.
  • Tiller arms with connecting bar.
  • Fixing positions for 2 x autopilot rams.
  • Single tiller steering system Jefa or similar.

Rigging

  • Keel-stepped standard Aluminum mast, boom and spreaders.
