Yacht description

Farr 40 built by Carroll Marine, well known and winning Farr 40 known as Warlord VI. 

She is in very good condition and always kept on dry dock.

Refit and renewals

Complete refit done in December 2017-april 2018. During this refit everything was out from the boat. The boat was reinforced where it was necessary, and all parts from deck to below were changed, such as :

  • Engine Yanmar 3ym30c changed in 2013-2014, new engine start panel in may 2018.
  • Refit of interior
  • All blocks changed with class compliant ones
  • New Harken Carbo racing Foil on headstay in may 2019
  • Hydraulic pump and cylinder fully serviced in September 2019 (all seals were changed)
  • Kiwi grip paint on deck in June 2019.
  • All hull, rudder and keel was repainted with Durepox paint and high performance clear over.
  • Mast was repainted black with Durepox paint.
  • Boom and stanchions was electrostatic painted in black.
  • Spinnaker pole changed with the longer one, class compliant form Hall Spars & quick release class compliant installed. (Southern Spars)

  • Spinnaker pole quick release class compliant installed. ( from Southern Spars )
  • All running rigging Maffioli or Gleistein 
  • All rigging changed with new one from Hall spars.
  • New Harken Carbo racing Foil on headstay in may 2019.

Sails

  • Mainsail One Sails 4TH 215R – 2018, reinforced for Rolex Middle Sea Race, ORC optimised, used for 4 regattas and Middle Sea Race 2018 +2019.
  • Mainsail One Sails 4TH 215N – 2019, , ORC optimised for ORC Worlds in Croatia, used in the Worlds and 7 regattas 
  • Jib 1 - North Sails 3di RAW – 2017 – used 2 seasons (few times used…jib in good condition)
  • Jib 2 - North Sails 3di RAW – 2017 – used 2 seasons ( many times used, jib in average condition)
  • Jib 3 One Sails 4TH 215N – 2019 – Used 2 hours in ORC WORLDS 2019 and 2 regattas 
  • Jib 4 Diamond Sais – 2015? – Used only around 3 hours.
  • Spinnaker masthead S1 North Sails – 2017 used 2 seasons –good condition
  • Spinnaker masthead S1.5 One Sails – 2019 used 1 regatta – new
  • Spinnaker masthead S2 North Sails – 2017 used 2 seasons – very good condition
  • Spinnaker Masthead One Sails – 2018 ORC Optimised, Offshore reinforced, used in Rolex Middle Sea Race and another 3-4 regattas.
  • Code 0 – (IRC/ORC asymmetric)- One Sails- Vector 2- Laminate sail, 100 sqm – with Karver K5 Code 0 furling system.
  • Some other sails available used more. Fractional spinnakers, jibs and 1-2 mains.

Accommodations

  • New interior lights, similar but led lights.
  • New toilet
  • New flexible water tank Plastimo
  • New engine start panel
  • New navigation chart light
  • New seals for all windows
  • New paint inside (international)

 

Deck and Cockpit

All blocks were changed with class compliant ones. All parts inside winches and all winched covers, all stoppers, all cars and rails (main, jibs and spinnaker pole …changed with class compliant ones.)

  • Kiwi grip paint on deck in June 2019.

 

Electrics

  • Additional 2 Gel batteries installed
  • battery switch changed in October 2018.
