Yacht description

The one-off Corby 38 has enjoyed a highly successful racing career in both IRC and ORC, fully crewed as well as doublehanded.   She was reoptimized with a new keel and reshaped aft hull in 2008, and underwent a comprehensive refit in 2014.  She was further extensively upgraded and optimized in 2017-2018 for shorthanded racing,  including a complete new B&G H5000 suite and under deck autopilot drive, new sails, upgraded and relocated batteries, and modified deck gear and layout.  Additionally, the hull was patched and polished, followed by a high quality vinyl wrap (3M Cosmic Blue).

She is truly a joy to sail and a classic Corby.

Shape tweaked in 2008 by Corby Yachts plus new keel. ORC & IRC success under German ownership including Middle Sea Race.

Originally commissioned for Colm Barrington as Gloves Off, it is one of few yachts to achieve the ‘trifecta’ of overall class wins at Cowes Week, Cork Week, Scottish Week.
Following the 2014 refit,  Rockall IV added a class win at Kiel Week, before winning their IRC and ORC classes in the 2015 Rolex Middle Sea Race.

Late 2017 bought by current owner who races mainly 2-handed offshore.
