History
The boat was originally purchased in Wales in 2019 by the previous owners in Sweden. It was named Blackadder in Wales and later renamed Onecorner in Sweden. Before 2019, the boat saw minimal use and spent years stored on land, which seems plausible as it only had 42 hours on the engine when acquired.
Between 2019 and 2020, the boat underwent an extensive refit. It was completely stripped down, leaving only the engine and keel intact, and was repainted both internally and on the deck. New electrical wiring, electronics (B&G), a new set of ropes, and various Harken blocks were installed. The owner had prepped the boat for the 2021 ORC Worlds in Tallinn, but due to personal resasons the boat was sold shortly after the refit.
Since then, additional upgrades have been made, including replacing the mainsheet system with a German sheet system featuring Harken Performa winches, and upgrading the foresail foil to a Harken Carbo Foil. In 2023, the boat was converted to use gennakers with a new full carbon fiber bowsprit (1.5m), and most of the sails were renewed, including a J2 and mainsail by North Sails and gennakers and J1 by Eurosail. The lightly used J3.5 sail from 2020 remained in good condition. Ballast was added to improve momentum through waves and optimize the rating. The boat has been covered with vinyl film since its first season under new ownership to protect the gelcoat.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a top-tier racing vessel with a proven track record. Ideal for a high-end team looking to compete at the highest levels of ORC racing.
